Mullin showed me something tonight.  Firstly, I'm amazed at how different they looked from the STAC game.  The players obviously like and respect him and they must have worked very diligently in practice.

Secondly, I loved his demeanor down the stretch in his first game.  Most coaches will tell you that that is the toughest part emotionally, when you have a lead and the opponent appears poised to make a run.  Coach was steady throughout.  When they made some bonehead plays down the stretch, he yelled out and calmed them down.  These are good prognosticators for him as a coach, I think.  And I loved the play he drew up, with Mussini off the ball, with a buck and change left on the clock. Mussini is their best shooter but he would have been smothered if he was on the ball. Mullin appeared to draw it up in two parts. The first part was just to get the ball in Durand's hands. Then the drive and dish to Mussini, and he stuck the shot.  Perfectly executed.  I went to school with this guy and I'm proud as hell.

I think CM got into the refs' ears too---without angering them.  A few of those push off calls against Mussini early on became calls against the Wagner D late in the game.

We got a nice young core in Muss, Ellison and Sima.

Coach is going to be great.  Chris was meant to do this.  The program is going to be great very soon.

This year is going to be tough for the most part but don't worry this thing is headed in the right direction.

We played pretty decently much better then the first two games which is what you want to see. Hope this game gives Mussini more confidence moving forward. If we get Johnson and Mvouika going with Ellison sima and Mussini we could win a few more games then we expected. Expectations still very low but looking forward to seeing the players grow and improve.

Yeah lots of talents and smarts there.  Mullin, Mitch et al and his dad will rough out any issues.  Plus he will bulk up.  Watch out

Great to see some improvement today. Mussini showed some balls, and took steps forward in many areas. Sima was very good, again. I really like show they moved the ball around on offense on several occasions. Obviously this is still a work in progress, but if they keep working on their ball movement they'll have an easier time compensating for the lack of a true point. But everyone has to contribute. Williams, Jones and Ellison need the most practice in terms of passing the ball, but I did see some improvement from them in that area.

over under on CM first tech is 3 games--he is all over the court and I mean ALL over.

Best moment was after the game when Chris came into the stands to see Coach C.  It was a wonderful moment.  Chris is the son Louie never had--there is a great bond between them.

Why didn't Owens play? Also, did they rule on Yawke yet?

Owens is a transfer, has to sit out this year. Yakwe is assumed to be a partial qualifier but nothing official yet. Won't see either until next season unless something shocking happens with yakwe.

Loved what I saw from him today.

Pretty clear they've established roles. Mullin appears to be solely focused on game while bench is concentrating on subs. Think by Hawaii Mullin will have full control.

After we started to close out the victory, had time to think about next year's team. Ponds. Lovett and Mussina in the back court w Ellison and Sima and support in the front court. There is definitely reason for optimism and take what we can from this season.

Congratulations Coach!
Throw in Yawke and Owens and other recruits and we are going to be good and very deep. Think how good Sima is going to be next year. Furthermore Yawke and Lovett will have a year of practice under their belt. Not to mention some of these players may grow and will Definately start putting on some muscle.
