Baldi posted it and you think it's true?   You don't pay attention much.

Actually it was in the NY Post. So that's at least one of us doesn't pay attention.

Hurts when the smug gets shoved back down your throat, doesn't it. Try not to choke on it.

Pretty much.
I also think generally I wouldn't recruit kids from a guardian/handler of 3 division 1 basketball players from Africa.  Could he/she just be doing right by the kids?  Sure.
But I'd have to really believe in that person that they're not just running a basketball factory.

It'll be intersting to see if Felix shakes Chiles' hand when we play 'em at Rose Hill.

I was completely being sarcastic . What motive would a coach have for doing that? Also if a coach did that he would implicate himself and make himself less hire able from other schools.

Revenge is a always good motive. Also he coaches at a rival school, that's another good one. So it seems he had the means, motive and opportunity. That's not enough to convict him but it's certainly enough to get an indictment.

You guys are all crazy? In 5 years Tony Chiles made around 1 million dollars. He had to have known that he would one day be fired. Now he has another high paying job. Revenge- The guy hit the lottery when he got hired from St. Johns.

"Source: Felix Balamou violation was pre-existing issue with previous staff leaked to NCAA. Goes back ta few years."

So: someone with knowledge of a years old recruiting violation leaked that information to the NCAA, and that violation involved an interaction with the previous staff. Other than Balamou, the previous staff, and perhaps Balamou's former teammates, who was likely to have known about it? No one. It seems unlikely that Balamou ratted himself out. It seems unlikely that any of his former teammates did it except maybe the guy he allegedly had a fist fight with a couple of years ago, which IIRC was Dlo. That only leaves the former staff, all of whom are presumably disgruntled at having been unceremoniously dumped, albeit for sucking at coaching. Could Lavin had done it, absolutely. He's mentally ill, thin skinned, and known to hold grudges. And he's already displayed a willingness to injure Balamou for personal gain. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest. Hines? His attempt to fight Othella Harrington last year displayed he has at least one screw loose. Keady? Probably not, but that's what would make it so diabolical. Lead recruiter Chiles, the one in the position to know the most about Balamou's shady recruitment? Means, motive and opportunity.

That's a relief just in regards of not worrying about sanctions to games he has previously played. That could have had a negative long term impact.

Good news helps out on the defensive end and helps us with rebounding.....would be great to get Lovett and Kassoum cleared now

I heard Chiles called the NCAA back this time disguising himself as "Antwan from the Bronx" and told them to disregard the earlier tip and re-instate Balamou.

Evidently it worked.

Well, it's good news. Felix can guard the ball. We could use the help. A good kid, too. Glad the NCAA and whoever else is no longer f'ing with him for what I can only assume is absolutely nothing at all.

Guess who said this:

"Felix [...]. is not a good shooter, dribbler, or passer . Those are not qualities u want in a guard. [...] Don't see this guy ever contributing at this level."

" The love affair with Felix I dont understand either. It doesnt matter how hard he plays if he cant shoot or dribble."

"Felix [...] is not a very good basketball player [...] Absolutely want a better player in his place"

If you guessed you, you were correct, for the first time ever. Welcome back Felix.

I said that. They are still true. Still he can run and jump. Those statements I made over a year ago. I bet you got them word for word. You gotta get a job or something. Clearly you are smart but are you to crazy to work.

Well it's not like Zach has any axes to grind with the old staff so why not throw it out there.  And even he of the biased opinion of the last staff said it was an issue with the staff, and that is was leaked to the NCAA, so even HE didn't say it was leaked by the previous staff.   And the other stupid rumor I heard was that Obekpa ratted out his old buddy which I'd actually believe more, in that I wouldn't.  But there's a theorist for every conspiracy I guess.

PS Foad vouching for Zach on matters Lavin is like Rumsfeld vouching for Cheney on matters war crime.
