Avery Patterson made shots. Durand Johnson does not. He's more like Ricky Torres

Patterson made shots when the other team wasn't guarding him. That's where Johnson will excel. So disappointing to see how poorly he's playing. Is there something wrong with him? Is he injured? I don't understand what could explain him not bothering to play defense.

Is there a mercy rule we can invoke here?

Least he's keeping it interesting

We're about to give up as many points in the 1st half than we have all year to anyone.

Mussini has an uncanny ability to turn the corner.

Our two key players are freshmen that will hopefully be here for four seasons.  It's good for them to experience this early in their careers.

Just keep reminding yourself that  Lovett, Yakwe, Owens, Ponds, and more (Ahmed? Alkins?)  are on the way next season.

There's going to be some serious up's and down's this season. This is a big downer, but let's keep the big picture in our minds about this team. It's about improvement over the course of the season. We've got what, 9 scholarship players? Ellison + Williams aren't even playing, and we have two of our top recruits not even qualified.

Vandy can be a Final 4 team. If a similar result arises against a team like Seton Hall, in January, then I'll get upset. This is to be expected.

Is it or me or does Greenberg and Williams seem to have some serious tension on the set? Jeez.

I don't think that's true.  It's expected for this group.  We all agreed single-digit wins after Lovett was ruled ineligible.  This might be the best team we play all year and we are doing it without Williams and Ellison (and Lovett, Yakwe, and Owens).  There will be more of this throughout the year...that is for certain.

St.John's had ten points at the half against Maryland at MSG during Patterson's only season here. I have no doubt that Johnson will be ready to score when we play Incarnate Word.

I agree with you there.  This will happen again this season.   And I'm OK with that.   We're building something.
But getting killed like this is not fun.  It's sad.   
There's light at the end of the tunnel.   But this is still hard to watch.   You never want to see guys in your jersey getting blown out like this.

Mussini looks good on offense.  That is encouraging. Too bad he has to do it all himself. 

What is up with Amar? I thought he would be improved from last year and play an important role. He looked better last year.
