Amar and I don't think it's even close
When you're a kid from New York and you do it in New York, that lasts forever!

Da Ali B!

Could easily have gone to Fellini but don't want to miss the rare opportunity to vote Amar PoG.  Mussini will win it in many other contests.

Glad people are changing their opinions on Amar.  He's still going to have his clunkers, but he tries his arse off on the court, and he does have some talent.  Very balanced, team win.

Player of the game has to be Alibegovic.  Complete effort, consistent shooting, aggressive on boards and almost double-doubled against Cuse.

Doesn't always play his arse off. That's part of his problem. Other times he gets too hyper after a play and forgets to get back on defense. As he gets more confidence he'll be more of a contributor.

For this question need another choice - letter F (all of the above).  Total team effort.

Voted for Amar but was very close to voting for Yakwe. I thought he played a very good game, obviously by far his best. His play in the lane against the zone was big and he has a few big hoops when the lead got down to 7 or 8. Mussini and Durand played very well and Sima was also solid. Just an all around good performance from the guys. Also have to mention that Ron also played a nice game although he didn't get much pub.

He reminds me a little of Donald Emanuel, although I don't believe that Donald had a game that resembled what Amar did yesterday until his senior year. Amar still has plenty of time to improve. As bad as he was against Niagara, he was the exact opposite against Syracuse. Go figure.

As stated by others, one area for Amar to improve on is footwork defensively & learning to react quicker to guys taking him off the dribble. Also, he makes it far to easy for refs to nail him with foul calls, practically mugging guys at times. I'm sure staff is working with him in that regard.

I agree. He picks up fouls instantly, and the game is usually too fast for him, but to see a performance like this is obviously inspiring. Still, I think every team needs a guy who can distribute a really hard foul when need be. Just as long as the case can be made that the player is going for the ball, and it's not an elbow to the head, or anything.

Amar's defense as also much better then last years. I dont remember him picking up any stupid fouls.yesterday.I am happy that he hit some shots but not looking for him to be bombing away from 3 either.

Amar's performance reminded me of Sean Evans against duke his senior year. It was great to see him have such a great time out there.

I hope it sees the same trajectory.

Amar was awesome. Everyone fed off the energy he brought. I still think he'd be better suited to play a level or two down but he's gonna be good by his senior year.

I voted for KY.  Thought his play in the high post with the spin moves and not panicking, opened it up for other guys.  His block towards the end of the game was big time (although it was credited to Sima).

I think once Amar had that insane putback, his confidence level was sky high.

Once he was confident, he started doing shit I had never seen him do in a game. Eurostep. Not hesitate from a few feet behind the 3-pt line. Some good passes. Go up strong for rebounds.

Confidence can be a huge swing for some guys. Would love to see him carry this going forward. He clearly is a highly skilled player and not a stiff.

I voted Mussini but a case can be made strongly for Alibegovic or Yakwe. This was definitely Amar's coming out party. He played out of his mind. It's amazing to see all these players get better every single game and develop chemistry. Yakwe is a freak D player and his live body makes him an offensive threat as well.
