Parking at Carnesecca
« on: December 14, 2015, 01:49:56 PM »
Taking my son to the game on Friday.

Can anyone give me some pointers on where to park?

I was thinking  of parking and catching a bus or walking.

Any feedback would be very appreciated.

Thank you.

i suggest you park as close to the exit gates as possible. anything deeper, and you'll be stranded for a good 30 minutes.

Better yet, across the street from the parking lots on Utopia Parkway there is a few resident streets. Park your car there and its a few minutes walk from the Arena.

This is what us kids who didn't feel like paying whatever it was for Parking did for 4 years haha.

there is no charge for parking on campus and plenty of spaces--the 30 minutes to leave is an exaggeration.

I park in the lot beneath the soccer stadium.  It is a bit slow getting out, but not as long as a half hour.  As I'm turning out of the lot, there are lots of people walking to their cars on the street.  Beware the uncovered spots.  They are so small that you may not be able to squeeze out of your car.  But then again, I haven't done a good job maintaining my once girlish figure.

Parking for the Niagara game was tough because classes were still in session with 5:00pm tip. Otherwise it's pretty manageable to park there and not really that difficult to get out. Usually about 10 min.

What I'm at a loss for is where do people go to grab a beer after the game without Sly Fox anymore?

I went there once after a game and not one St. John's fan in there.

I went there after game and they didn't take credit cards.  How is that possible in 2015?

Thanks for the feedback, fellas.

Two questions:

How likely is it that I'd find parking on a local street?

It sounds like I am able to park on campus, correct?

Park in the parking garage next to the football field. No line to get out because there's no light at the exit.

I always park under the soccer stadium and it's about 10 minutes to get out. If you're looking for a quick getaway park in the garage by the D'Angelo Center/DaSilva Field, no one ever parks in there.

This is awesome. And I don't need any passes or anything like that? I can just park on campus under the soccer stadium or the garage by DaSilva Field. That's great.

Thanks for everything, fellas.

Yeah during game hours they do not check for parking passes.
