Much like the Moon Landing I think those Lovett clips on YouTube are fake

I hope he stays, because even if Ponds can run the point, Mullin was on his way to building a backcourt that featured 2 point guards. I wonder if Lovett sees Ponds tearing it up his senior year, and he feels like he'll be coming off the bench with Ponds and Mussini starting. Mussini isn't a point guard, and he's limited as a 2 guard as well, but that doesn't mean that Lovett isn't thinking I came to start, and if I'm not going to, I'm outa here.

This is why "playing time" as a recruiting strategy destroyed Norm Roberts.

While the rumor of him leaving is out there, I have yet to hear a reason behind the possibility.

You filled the last month with all the reasons why and now you are asking?

That was my speculation about his eligibility mostly due to my dislike of NCAA.
While I did ask the question about his status should he leave, the first I heard of rumor was by a couple people on the forums a couple days ago.
Talented and nice kid or not he seems flaky so maybe there is no absolute reason if rumor is true. But you would think someone would have at least made one up and passed it off as legit

My vote is stay at St. John's. I think he may flirted with the idea over winter break, maybe some folk got in his ear, but I think in the end he's gonna realize St. John's is still best place for him. I'm sure it's tough sitting on sidelines all year when you thought you were gonna come in and play 30mpg.

As much as I haven't endorsed LoVett I still think this team on court is better with him than without him. Could be special group next year

I voted stay. But he will be an issue for the next few years. We are all cursed. Hopefully he will give us some good times .

Hopefully soon we will have a totally loaded roster and one player won't matter much.

We could have been recruiting a true point guard for next year.  He's messing with this program.  This is what kills programs.  This is foolish.  He may have just gotten into the habit of changing schools every year.  He changed high schools like socks. He's sitting in the stands with his uncle, instead of being with his teammates.  Flaky indeed.

A Lavin recruit, initially. The last one.

He is waiting to see if Lavin goes to UNLV ;).  Personally I will take Yogi's advice and wait until the Fat Lady sings.

Lavin introduced St.John's to the great Mussini, and to LoVett as well. If anything, he deserves a thank you for inbounding the ball. When will STJ take some ownership of these ineligible players? New coach, but the same record.

I could be mistaken  but  people speaking for SJU  seemed to encourage Lovett to go to the mat with the  NCCA in the courts. Was he lead to believe he would have their support. Again if I'm not mistaken a short time later the same people announced the matter was closed.. What  went on and what  was Lovett's reaction ?

I see him on TV too...in street clothes right behind bench.

Saw Owens come up next to him to sit and shook hands.

Good sign.  Hopefully he cheers when something good happens

I don't see Williams...is he nearby?

Why isn't he in sweats?  I guess this means he is transferring.  He didn't go on the bus with the team?  Is that why he "shook hands with Williams"?  Is Williams in street clothes too?  What the hell is going on?  If anyone is at the game, could you tell us if Williams is in street clothes also?

Mullin sitting on scorers table 5 min into 2nd half.... Nice...

Saw Lovett clapping on a few plays (the few we had so far)

What I was wanting to know was whether or not the other players that aren't available tonight (i.e. Owens, Williams etc.) are wearing sweats. Because if they are, it means that Lovett is no longer on the team.  But then why is he even at the game?  What is going on with him?  I've been following college hoops for four decades and I can't remember this kind of drama.  These kids really love the "feeling of being recruited".  Yeah, lets give up a semester of eligibility so I can have the "feeling of being recruited" again.

I see now on TV Lovett sitting by himself and no Owens or Williams anywhere.  I don't understand what is going on.  Why would he be there if he was leaving? He'd be gone if the decision had been made, but then again I'm trying to actually apply logic here.  Makes absolutely no sense.  Staff has to worry about Lovett when they could have been prepping for GTown. Small wonder it's a blowout.
