Matt A. had some time for Q&A on his twitter account a few hours ago.

Some good stuff but best was...

Why does Mullin sit on the scorer's table?
" Because it's comfortable"

Someone asked if anyone has beaten Mullin in a shooting contest and Freudenberg answered and said he did.

Saw that. Also saw that it seems like Matt is expecting at least one more commitment from his comment saying the class is very very good but it will be even better when its all said and done.

Just about nobody in the world beats Mullin in a shooting contest.  I don't buy it...If he lost its because he wasn't taking it seriously.  If he truly lost to Freudenberg, then we are getting a truly ridiculous shooter at 6'10"...  Either way, net positive SJU...

I was thinking the same thing. Hard to believe. But if we can get a 6 9 player who can beat Mullin in a shooting contest, sign me up.

Matt can ball. Real deceptive but he's quick and scrappy. He recruits the same way.

In a contest in an open gym I bet Max Hooper could beat chris too.
What separates Mullin, Curry, Reggie Miller, Ray Allen etc from the open gym heroes is that they can get their shot off in a real game.  They can step-back, run around a screen or two, or fire lightning quick on a catch and shoot etc.

Not saying the German isn't good.  But empty gym shooting contests are like throwing footballs through a tire in the backyard.  Ryan leaf and JaMarcus Russell can look like hall of Famers doing that.

(After shooting the way we did against Marquette with 17 more shots than they had, I wish some of our guys could throw a basketball through a tire.)
