Start time for Butler game
« on: February 05, 2016, 11:06:59 AM »
Before the season, SJU said the 430 pm start time was TBD.  Has anyone who is a season ticket holder received a confirmation that it's still a 430 start?  Thanks.

This has to be the stupidest Division team I have seen. Turnovers, giving up wide open 3 pointers, don't hit free throws. Why should any of us waste our time watching this team?

Not on in NC,  Reviewed stats at the half and saw Sima is back.  How bad does he look?  12RBs and 4 assists,  awful

Was going to post today is the day. Well it looks like it isn't. As bad as they have looked all season. It might not be a bad idea to sit down the senior for the rest of the year

If I don't see Johnson, Mvouika and Balamou on the court again this season, that would be fine. At least Mullin learned to call timeouts during the Butler scoring spurts, not that anyone listened to anything he must have said during those timeouts.

I wouldn't mind seeing us start getting chippy and show some kind of pride or emotion. Mitch Richmond with the technical appears to be the only one who cares today.

I like emotion and pride. Yelling at the refs when you are down 40 seems kind of silly.

Silly or not, it is expected.  This is a rough season for fans, players and coaches alike, and blow out losses like this make it all the more difficult.  Mullin, Slice and Matt are all NY guys who have been highly successful.  You don't think this losing is absolutely killing them?  Losing in Iowa, Sacramento or even Manhattan college is one thing.  Losing here for these guys must be far worse, even though it is not unexpected, and even though they are seemingly trying to keep positive.  Ditto for Mitch Richmond, a highly accomplished player.

I'm confident that this horrible season is only going to motivate our staff to ensure that they NEVER feel this way again while coaching for SJU.  And that's why I'm confident that this type of season will never, ever occur again while Chris, Slice, Matt & Co. are in charge.

If anything, I think Lavin's success Year 1 set the stage for the lack of care and focus on the recruiting trail the past 2 years.  I think he was very comfortable with having a program that could make the tourney every few years, but go through rough cycles continuously, and that the fan base (and administration) would accept that as long as he won 20 or so games enough.  This staff won't accept that.
