Harrington was drafted in 96. Way before Curtis Johnson was at SJU

Yea sweetney played with bowman and was drafted by knicks. I like bowmans game.

4 shoulder surgeries. He's one box out away from breaking. Unfortunate.

If Williams is this injury prone, how did the staff not know this 1 year ago? It's not like his shoulders just became a chronic issue in the last 12 months.

If there's any way to declare this guy a medical hardship and free up his scholly that would be ideal. Don't know if that's even possible but worth looking into.

I think it was one of those situations where we were trying to fill the roster within 90 days.  We had to take chances on guys, in a perfect world, we probably would have passed on.

I'm sure the University would still offer Darien an education if he became physically unable to play.

Um, do you guys remember the state our roster was in this time last year?  Of course it was worth the risk to take a shot on Williams, despite the injury history.  A high-major talent signed to play for a school that has made plenty of noise in the tourney in recent years.  Maybe it doesn't work out because of the injuries.  But worth it nonetheless.  Prior to the season, several publications and analysts thought Williams might be our best player.

At the time, this seemed like a good idea because many St.John's fans believed that Matt stole him from Iowa State. Maybe they didn't put up such a fight to keep him. If he's had 4 shoulder surgeries, basketball is probably not in his future. But, if he's been in college for 4 years, he should be in academic standing further along than he is. Hopefully, he's focusing on closing out the year strong in class.

I think he has three academic years - 2 in JC, plus this current year.

For his sake, aside from getting a 4th year to complete his degree, hopefully the surgery expenses are being covered.

I was saying to myself, "WTH is Section 9 talking about?  Harrington was long gone before Jarvis or CuJo came to St. John's." 

I loved Linehan.  I recall a game during the 2001-2002 season where he was dogging our guards so bad in the backcourt that Jarvis decided to have Cuffe and, I believe King, bring the ball up the floor.  They ended up beating us in OT that particular game. 

Linehan was notorious for beating players to the spot and either getting a steal or creating an offensive foul.  A supreme pest and defensive dynamo.

Absolutely Dink. A pest to the most bothersome degree.

Hakeem Warrick was very very good defensively.   His length and athleticism was unmatched.  He was like an Obekpa sized guy who had Pointers athleticism.
