Dunn is a plus defender from day 1.  Avery Bradley has had a nice little career.

The PG position is weak in the draft this year. Why take Dunn in the lottery  when you can get guys like Cat Barber or Melo Trimble later who are just as good if not better and younger

Lol. Cmon now. Cat Barber and Trimble are much smaller than Dunn and combined they are still half the defender Dunn is. Dunn also does not have one weakness in his game. He's better than Trimble at every facet of the game. Cat Barber is a better shooter than Dunn, Dunn is better at everything else.

You couldn't possibly have watched any Maryland games this year and could say that Trimble is better than Dunn. Cat Barber had just about the same talent around him as Dunn and they went under .500

All about potential, I think Dunn has hit his ceiling.

I understand it's all about potential, but there's no reason to think Trimble and Barber have higher ceilings than Dunn. Not sure what you've seen in them that makes you think they have more room to grow than Dunn does. One could easily argue Dunn has actually has the most potential of those three because he can shoot now but his shot could still improve making him a much more dangerous offensive player. He also has the one thing that can't be taught at any level, size

Good points made.

Just my opinion and that eye test that is always talked about, but I'm not seeing it with Dunn. He was better earlier in his college career.

I think Dunn has one of the lowest floors in the draft. He already has nba defensive skills and court vision. He definitely faded and wore down this year, but he's going to play a long time in the nba. I wouldn't be surprised if within 4 years he's top-5 in assists and steals. If he can improve his shot, he'll be great.

We never really him at 100% until last year and he was great, he would have been a lottery pick after last year and only got better this year...

Personally, his injury history is what would scare me the most...

Syracuse guys really don't translate well to the NBA. Obviously Melo has been an annual all star, and Derrick Coleman had a solid career after being the #1 pick over all. but what about the others?

Hakim Warwick- serviceable; Jonny Flynn-gone; McNamara-going to be a college coach; John Wallace-serviceable; Pearl Washington-nothing; Rony Seikaly- not much; Lawrence Moten-not much; McCullogh-too early to tell; Christmas-did he make a roster? Michael Carter- in the league now. Sherman Douglass-serviceable.

My point? Malachi Richardson is going to have to fight the trend that comes out of Syracuse. All star rosters and playoff teams are not littered with Syracuse products.

Dunn caught pneumonia this season and doctors wanted him to sit out much more than the one game he missed. Definitely could have accounted for his perceived slump second half of the season. Pro scouts have him high lottery.

I heard he was hurt. Dunn is the best player to come out of the big east in a long time. Schocking people are taking shots at him.

Arch is so much stronger than Paige. You can sense that he feels good about the matchup.

Nova started milking the clock with 5:30 to go. Why? Their offense was on fire. Playing afraid with a 9 point lead. Can't take your foot off the gas.

Wow, that is all I have to say.

I think these two teams proved they were the 2 best teams and what a finish.

Congrats to Jay and Nova just a tremendous season and great championship.

I mean you beat Miami, Kansas, Oklahoma and UNC,  Think about that you beat 4 teams, 2 from the Big 12 and 2 from the ACC (the two best conferences in the country) and the 1 and 2 overall seeds in the Tourney.  That is big time coaching and playing.

Crazy finish, great game.  Great coaching job by Wright.  Nova just has a bunch of guys that know how to play ball.  Congrats

great win for Nova--wonderful for the BE.  It was great way for the cheaters to lose-  The ecstacy for UNC at 4.7 seconds to tie and then to have the dagger at the buzzer.  UNC lost one tonight--now how many will the NCAA take away.  ;D

Best NC finish ever perhaps.  Great win for nova and the big east.  Jay wright and the nova Program really deserves it.  Unreal.
