I just want the ACC to crash and burn as much as possible.  One down, at our league's hands...

I'm with you.  The Big East could put a pair of teams in the Final Four next year with some even officiating .

Right, that's why Virginia, Duke, Miami and North Carolina win because of the refs.

I was only speaking about that Xavier bogus call personally.   Duke definitely wins games because of the refs.   For some reason Fordham takes up arms for Duke and the ACC.. 🤔

I HATE Nova. I dont care about the money we will get plenty when its our time,  just want to see those preppy punks crash and burn.  I have always hated them more than every other Big East team although Georgetown is close.
The better the BE does in the tourney the better it is for us. Want the BE to be a high rated conference.

Big East has had a decent tournament so far. PC and Butler winning toss up games was a good outcome. Seton hall didn't have a good game but Xavier lost a questionable call and impossible shot. Now Nova has made it to the elite 8. I think our record right now is 6-4. Could have been better but pac 12 and sec did much worse. I think this year we had the 4th best conference in the country and if we can settle in at that level we can be very competitive.

I understand what your saying, but there comes a point where you just want to thrive on your own merit in beating teams and becoming an own brand.  We do not want to rely on a Conference recognition for carrying us to the top. We can do it ourselves once we have the talent working well together.  Gonzaga is classic example- who gives a crap about their conference but they find a way to bring the intensity every year and have a great program. I want us to make it because we carried ourselves not because hated rivals make noise in a tournament we are not in.

St.John's and DePaul need to get their shit together. That's when the BE can be a tier conference. We have two programs that pull their weight once every ten years.

The ACC about to go 0-3 tonight.  As always two ways to look at.

1)They're overrated or
2)They all played teams seeded higher then them including 2 no. 1's, in other words they were supposed to lose all 3.

UNC vs IU and UVA vs Iowa St are two really intriguing games tomorrow.

Can't we all just be happy knowing that Duke alums and bitch-ass front runners will go to bed sad tonight? Think of a crying pompous nerd in a 2015 NCAA championship sweatshirt and hat crying, and tell me that doesn't truly warm your heart.

A third way to look at it is that Maryland is no longer in the ACC...😉

Cant really hate on Duke, something intriguing about Grayson Allen being a villain and bad ass that is pretty cool. I like it when teams have some attitude. Dom fight was pretty cool and Obekpa outbursts were always fun to watch.  The only time it sucks is when the team has no depth. But if you have a team with depth not a bad thing to have some guys with some attitude and toughness. Intimidation is a good thing.

Problem is if Gonzaga had lost St. Mary's in that championships game they would not have made the tournament this year. The conference you are in and how competitive it is is a huge factor and I don't think you can say otherwise. Do we really want to be in a conference where only one team gets a bid and every game is life and death? We are not relying on the conference to be good but it helps for it to be good. It only makes sense to root for Big East teams. Next time we are on the bubble the quality of teams we play in conference and the perception of the league will be a big factor. The big east has been pretty strong last few years and if we want too be a consistent NCAA team the conference staying strong is a big factor. There are very few Gonzagas out there.

Theres always extremes maybe not so far as to midmajor with one bid but just regularly beating the hell out of the teams in our conference every year and finishing in top 3. I dont think we can be serious about being great again if we want to settle for a league advantage to help us with Bubble. I want the program to be outright dominant like when Louie was here. No questions asked, no bubble, just wrecking these teams and building the brand.  Bubble can no longer be acceptable if we want to be great again.

Generally I'm happy to let you spout whatever ignorant uninformed nonsense you like, but this crosses a line. dOok sucks. They are slightly less evil than Stalin and have done more damage to the cause of civilization than typhoid. About this there can be no debate. Nothing about them is cool or badass and everything about them is appalling.  Shrewshrinksi is a cheese drunk rat and his team a herd of over achieving pasty faced ballerinas. Grayson Allen is an abomination and the world would be better off if he had been aborted and his parents sterilized just in case his parents decided to once again implant a diseased zygote in that polluted womb.  Failing that what would be cool would be to see him beaten to a bloody pulp with Greg Paulus's severed leg. Now THAT  would be bad ass.

That's fine but having a strong conference doesn't hurt that in any regard. We are out of it right now are rooting for the teams in our conference only makes sense. Its great that you want to be a team is in the tournament every year but there's only a dozen of those schools and we haven't been one of them in 25 years. No one said anything about settling for the bubble but we haven't made the tournament consistently in a long time so if being in a strong conference helps us get in then I am all for that.

Sorry to disappoint poison but after a national title last year, losing amile Jefferson five games in and at times lookin like we didn't belong anywhere near the NCAA tourney, I am pretty satisfied with a sweet 16 appearance losing to a team clearly better than Duke this year.  As were my friends.  I am sure there are many dukies who fit your description but not all of us.

Loved seeing Duke lose.  Grayson Allen is a punk.  Before the implementation of the current strict technical rules (pussification of the game) he would have been punished in the next 5 minutes for his pathetic tripping move.....love to see someone run up his chest when he is getting ready to implement the Duke flop.  Unfortunately, players can no longer take enforcement into their own hands.  Dirty play is best punished immediately.

Meanwhile, Nova looking great.  Would like to see them do it this year.

Grayson Allen is clearly a dirty player who instigates conflict.  Coach K rationalizes his behavior all year, yet takes an Oregon player post game to task for showboating. Be a gracious loser Coach K.

Agree Coach K was not a gracious loser, but what else do you expect of him rationalizing his players behavior publicly.  I am sure Grayson got a long talking to on multiple occasions for that behavior but as head coach and leader of young men, K wants to downplay issues publicly as they already get a ton of attention and would do no good if he showed displeasure with his 19 yr old SG in the media.  Dont mistake his statements publicly for necessarily being his actual thoughts on the issue.

Yet ok to lecture an opponent in sight of national audience last night?  He should have said nothing & just shook hands. If he wanted to impart words of wisdom, do so privately. His sore loser attitude just got the best of him. Sorry, a saint he isn't.
