Tyshwan Edmondson has found a new home at Midland Community College where he will continue his collegiate athletic career.
Edmondson didn’t enjoy much success at St. John’s as playing time was going to be non-existent. Transferring seemed to be the only logical decision for both Edmondson and St. John’s. At Midland he will join a program which won the national championship in 2007 and has recently produced Tyrone Appleton who is enrolled to play at Kansas this season.
Edmondson isn’t St. John’s first connection to Midland Community College. In 2004 St. John’s inked up Queens native Rodney Epperson, a 6-6 swing who was coincidentally from Midland Community College. Epperson was the beginning of the end of the Mike Jarvis regime as he didn’t get to suit up for the Johnnies because of faulty transcripts.
We wish Tyshwan the best of luck and hope he enjoys much success in his future. Here is one last look at my favorite Tyshwan Edmondson moment as he goes leprechaun on Luke Harangody.
