After a few twists and turns Dwayne Polee has chosen St. John’s as his destination for college. Polee, who was originally committed to play for the Trojans of USC, de-committed from his verbal and reopened his recruitment which led him to UNLV, Georgia, and later St. John’s.
After Oregon hired Dana Altman as their new coach, Polee was convinced to postpone his decision to visit the Ducks. It didn’t matter – because Polee is big apple bound.
This means that Coach Lavin will have both his staff and 2010 class completed by the end of the week. Polee is expected to officially announce his commitment to the Red Storm on Friday according to sources (just kidding, this is according to Polee).
Polee leaked the news on his twitter while talking to a female friend. When he prompted the question “Who’s going back east for college?” She responded that she was attending “Howard” and then asked “You???”
Get excited St. John’s fans! Lavin is putting St. John’s back on the national map!
