They both play the 4. I can also tell you with certainty that even if Justin withdraws his name, he won't be coming here. They're not taking shine away from each other.

Is this based on any info or your guess? From the highlights, Justin seems like more of an interior type scorer, 3.7 3PA vs 6.4 for Julian.

As others have suggested, them playing together would make the two of them a bigger story, not steal spotlight. Twins/brothers on the same team are always a big story, USC right now, the eastern Washington kids earlier on etc

I don't think it's true that they both play the four.  Certainly Justin is aware that he has to be at least a 3 to have a shot at being drafted in the NBA. Julian is transitioning to the three...and I think that will be his professional position. Pitt was really bad so Justin was  probably just doing what he had to keep them from drowning.

Obviously, it is a very long shot that he comes here.  We NEVER get that lucky.  I do think there is more than enough shots and shine to go around, though, and it's hard to tell what position most of our players play offensively anyway.  Julian did everything you would expect a SF to do on offense...he just covered bigger guys on D. I don't think he was a liability on D covering twos and threes either.

Not good.

Maybe we can get on the + side of this wild year.  Kadary Richmond is transferring from Syracuse due to playing time.  The fits perfect with what we do here and with Posh.  Posh needs a second floor general to be his best IMO. Richmond is a stud. Maybe him and Griffin as a package deal?

Kadary wants the PG position so I think he ends up at Seton Hall. It would be a very nice addition if we can pull it off but Posh might be in the way.

I'd agree that SH seems like a more natural fit. He reminds me of Khadeen Carrington.  Anderson's system really needs multiple guys who can distribute and run point.  Posh has always seemed more than willing to switch off from point to scorer and back throughout his career. It shouldn't be a hard sell, but this is where I see Anderson and staff coming up short.  Why can't we get these types of kids?

our offers are not economically competitive at the highest level. its pretty simple

Always got the feeling that CMA and this staff always wanted to replace the Mullin guys with their own. Greg and Marcellus were good players for us but they were Mullin guys so this isn't all that big of a surprise to me. I'm more concerned with Cole and Moore splitting after a year when they were CMA recruits and were expected to be multi-year contributors.

The free agency of this season is just getting started. There are over 1000 players in the portal to pursue and this staff will land several more. Maybe the players brought in will be an upgrade over those leaving. Maybe they won't. Will let the dust settle on this free agency period before making any declarations.

Why wouldn't they stay? Posh is one of the stars of the team, BE FOY and BE DPOY. He's going to get serious spotlight here next year along with Champ, and in the local/national media.

Wusu had a good frosh year, is his running mate and looks to have some honors in his future if he keeps progressing.

Well that was quick. Since my original post here just two weeks ago there's been some major roster turnover. Current roster looks like this now:

JC
Posh
Wusu
Nyiwe
Traore
Stanley
Pinzon
Smith

We need another PG to spell Posh's minutes. Another outside shooter in addition to Smith.

And hopefully we pull in two more bigs. A space eater, big ugly. Plus a big who has a semblance of a low post offensive game. Something we haven't here in forever.

Wheeler's a big with good athleticism. He was also getting interest from Kansas, Texas and Xavier. Good get.

6"9 Aaron Wheeler transfer from Purdue.

Didn’t get much burn at Purdue but they are a good team with a very different style of play. Hope he fits in well here.

Getting Wheeler is a great sign.  I think it reflects that Coach and his staff are on top of the situation with the transfer portal blowing up this year. I have to think Wheeler will excel with SJU given his other suitors, but always interested in what others think on here.
