Surely Lavin can do much better.

Why not look at him like version 2.0 of Kyle McAlarney?

Maybe the reason we're not after Calhoun is he'd create a logjam because he'd demand more PT, while BB would be more inclined to play the specialist/shooter role until he's an upperclassman.

The chart is assuming that Jevon Thomas accepts his scholarship offer but as of now there are 3 scholarships available.

A kid who fits a need of being a knockdown shooter, yes. St. John's is loaded with athletic wings who are way more gifted than Okoro or Dingle from St. Rays. I love Dingle, he's my boy but St. John's isn't the best look for him unless he grows a little more and will play down low but he wants to be a perimeter guy.

You're very hung up on "ratings" and a team still needs role players or specialist to be successful.

Bernardi is a better shooter than Harrison without question.

You mention Grennan and he's one of the hardest workers I know. I see him work out on a daily basis. I think he's going to surprise some people if he's given the opportunity at Seton Hall.

You're correct that I'm hung up on rankings.
If every facet of life, they've proven to be invaluable.

I think with the amounnt of wings and slashers we have on the team, it's even more important to recruit Bernardi. We need a kid to spread the floor and create those driving lanes. He's a kid defense's aren't going to be able to leave.

Plus, in a zone, this kid will bust it.

 :-XTom, I think that with respect to bernardi, it's not that he is one of the top players we are recruiting.  It's just that when you load a roster 13 deep, you can take an opportunity to get some "specialists" on the roster.  Louisville last year was tough because they had A guy like Kyle Kuric from the outside.  Even Ben hansboro wasn't a killer entering college.  All of the best teams in the NCAA seem to have at least one guy who can come in to just fire away.  I actually think Bernardi is a little bit better and more versatile than that.  He isn't a bad athlete, and is pretty long and a smart ball player.  Add him to the roster in a 12th or 13 spot and you won't be disappointed.  I'd love to add another kid who can really stroke it to all the other versatile players we have all over the court.  Give me Jevon, Anderon or Gathers and Bernardi and we have all bases covered to take a team to the national championship.  He's a good local player that can really help us, especially with the way this staff runs an offense.

Sorry moose, the auto-complete feature on my iPad doesn't allow me to write bernardi for some reason and turns it into bernardino.  I went back and fixed it.  Sometimes the feature is more annoying than helpful.

Yeah, MCNPA, i had to disable the feature on my Ipad.  It is very annoying.  You can always spot an Ipad user because of the M's and N's where a space should be.  All in all, an incredible device.

I know it was funny.  I thought you already gave him a nickname.  Not bad for a guy not ranked high

Not many clips of him on the net except the one with Jevon, but you can clearly see his ability to step to the side and nail shots as well as his range.  He's not real slow either.  #22 in the clips.

We could really use a kid like this. A kid who can come and provide instant offense while spreading the floor for our slashers. Has a really nice stroke but can't tell too much from a handful of shots.

Calhoun played for New York Gauchos when Hicks was there, so I think that we can´t get him.
