Mo is very skilled, coordinated, a good athlete, and he's insanely long and tall.   He's well below Pointer and Sampson IMO in terms of athleticism.  Does Dom have the skill to bring the ball up like Mo, hell no.  But Mo doesn't have the foot speed of Pointer.  I don't think Durant is as athletic as many wings in the NBA, does that mean I don't think he's better than those player, no.

I'm not saying I want him to play point or that he in any way should, but simply that he could play point.  Do I think he should play center for us?  No, but he does sometimes and has done an admirable job doing it.  If the other team was pressing and I had the option of who could bring up the ball: Greene, Stith, or Harkless.  I am taking Harkless all day long.

Thankfully Lavin didn't ask you to step in for him in his absence, because I love Moe.. but there's no way he has the handle or ball security that even Greene or Stith do.   Moe's not a point guard under any circumstances, even for a minute. 

Have you seen what happens when stith gets pressed?  He can't see over taller players and picks up his dribble and then throws errant passes.  As far as Greene, I am not a fan. I said I wouldn't want Moe playing point I simply stated that in a pinch he could.  He has a good enough handle and sees the floor well.  My comment came in the context of Marillac saying that Moe wasn't an elite athlete.

There isn't one.  That's true.   I was just saying he's not at the level where I feel comfortable with Moe with the ball under pressure.  To me, his handle is still one of the areas that most needs work.   Stith is small, and has trouble getting passes over people, true.  But at the end of the day I think he can bring the ball up against the press.  That actually might be the only thing he does well

One on one against his man in isolation, I'm comfortable with Moe's handle.  But not if he's being pressured by quicker guards in the back court.

Agreed, but like we saw last year with Brownlee and DJ, Lavs likes to use his wings to help break the press because they can see over the top. I think moe will be used the same, we'll be able to see this tonight against a pressing team in depaul.

This kid has the the tools to be a very good NBA player but he is not ready. He needs another year or two to get stronger and work on all areas of his game. His shooting needs a good amount of work both from the line and from the floor. He needs to get much stronger also, I don't want to see him leave early and end up struggling in the D League a couple years from now.

Hes def got the talent...but his shot needs improving I noticed he's on-line with his shot but its either long or short especially on the freethrow line.  I think he needs one more year to hone his skills.

I know the article itself is ridiculous because Zags has no inside knowledge on this subject but it is an interesting subject to talk about. I just think Mo would be making a mistake not staying another year or two and develop his game. If he stays and develops his strength and shot he has the ability to be a very good NBA player. If he left after this year I would be worried that he wouldn't reach his potential.

It's not news. There is no substance to it what so ever. He asked Jim Boeheim in the press conference to elaborate on what makes Moe Harkless such a good player and spins that into he may test the NBA. Wait till the season is over to talk/write about that stuff.

A lot of NY media people try to stir it up. Leave the kid alone, let him improve and progress at a normal rate, get stronger over the next year or two and live himself a happy life in the league.

I remember far before the season started, Nate Blue talking about how Moe was a 2-and-done player. I remember him talking about how *ALOT* of guys ranked as high or better than him were far overrated and constantly getting on Telep about that lol.

Now things may have changed(and I couldn't really blame him---it's the kid's dream and he's been one helluva player), but I don't think him and Moe ever thought heading into the year: "One and done".

Draftexpress.com has currently moved Moe out of 2013 Mock Draft and into the 2012 Mock Draft as 1st pick in the 2nd round. Previously they had him mid 1st round in 2013 draft i believe.
