Zero chance of beating an Alcindor-anchored team. Or the first 2 Walton teams.
You just can't really compare teams from generation to generation. While Alcindor is who he is, the guard play today would dominate the guard play from that generation. So to say "zero chance" is just not fair.
Alcindor teams has Mike Warren at the point and Lucius Allen at the 2. Hell of a backcourt, no one from today would dominate them because they knew how to play the game and were well coached. I can sit here and remember Coach Wooden having such confidence in them that he just sat on the bench with his folded program and let them go to work. It also says something about how well he had them prepared.
