Playing St.Francis at the new arena is great for local hoops. The St. John's-St.Francis rivalry was much more important the students back in the 50's and 60's when both schools were just blocks apart in Brooklyn Heights. I guess the game might have meant more to them since we were so dominant on the court. Their fans would actually march to 96 Schermerhorn the Friday before the game predicting victory, the bars on Court St. and Livingston St. was always full on Friday. Hope the students, alumni and fans from both schools attend the game.

Would like to know if it is a home game and or be included in season tic package or else would buy tics early to get best seats possible. Anyone (Dave) have any info? Much obliged.

My guess is it will be a neutral court game like the 2k Sports Classic last year and won't be included in any season ticket packages.

Buy cheapest seats and move down. There will be many empty seats for this game.

One change  would make in this event in future years would be to make if the "Battle of the Boroughs".  since it is in Brooklyn, have STF and LIU in it and bring in Fordham (Bronx/Manhattan, SJU (Queens/SI/Man.), Columbia (Man.) and either Wagner (SI) or Manhattan (Bronx).  I would also have it played before fall semester finals so students could get there.  (If you wanted to do a quadruple header for real BB jumkies, you could add Div 3-NYU (Man) vs. St Joseph's (Bklyn). Start at 10 and go until 6/7 PM).
