The potential is there for this years team to better the '10-'11 team, but I don't think they will.

- Foul Shooting
- Less turnovers
- Better 3pt shooting

The 2010-11 team was better in those areas than I think this years team will be.   Those things win close games.   It's the benefit of experience.

This team will still be good though.  But in the pring of '10-11 we were playing as well as any team in the country.    And Posion's questions about this year are all valid.   Lot to be answered in practice in the fall.

One way this team will be better then the 2010-11 team is that they will win their first round NCAA Tournament game.

The 10/11 team was just a bunch of good, experienced players.  Very few fit their positions like this year's team will.  I honestly don't see us playing in as many close games due to being more competitive man by man in shooting/defense and depthwise. We ain't losing to any Fordhams or Northeasterns this year.

Just looked up last years Big east stats.
2011/2012 team (Greene & co) actually had 26 less turnovers in Conf play than opponents !
And FT% was identical (69%) to opponents

Nice Job by a bunch of freshman forced to play 35+ min/g with a combo G playing point !
