Most Frustrating player...
« on: April 27, 2016, 09:13:47 PM »
Saw this mentioned in a thread and thought it need its own.

For me, Reggie Jessie.

I remember watching him in high school and thinking he and Artest were gonna kill it

Zendon Hamilton, Willie Shaw, Justin Burrell and Dom Pointer (first three years).

Z was the most frustrating because of how selfish he was. He set the tone for a team
loaded with greedy, short-sighted players who hated to do anything for anyone but themselves.

I liked Reggie Jessie . He was just exposed when everyone left. Rysheed Jordan is my pick. What a dumb ass.

RJ was a good passer but always thought he played in a tuxedo.

I'm going with Justin Burrell. NBA frame, a ton of heart, yet lacked consistent perimeter/ft shooting, and should've had a much higher rebounding average. Still remember how frustrating his sophomore year was after his stellar 1st Team BE all freshman campaign. He had a game in 07' at the Carrier Dome where you were sure he had NBA potential. Still a formidable presence in the paint and had a noble senior year. Team leader, solid alum, and an ongoing international career. Just think he could've really been a monster if it all came together.

He lacked consistent perimeter shooting. He should have lacked perimeter shooting period because he was a damn PF. He had a very good senior year once Norm Roberts was no longer allowed to stunt his development.

Shaw had his moments after his freshman campaign, but Omar Cook made Shaw a better player during their only season (freshman season) together.

If Cook stayed. With Hatten and Shaw that would have been a scary 3 headed monster. Cook and Hatten penetrated and Willie camped out in the corner

Because they're not scared. Going to Kentucky or Kansas is easy. No pressure.

Junior year Pointer hands down. The most athletic kid in the entire country, without a trace of a jumpshot or half court handle,  standing flat-footed behind the three-point line possession after possession.
