Remember when there were stories including by Rivals just a few weeks ago just as Little was set to visit SJU that seemed to fail to mention SJU as a serious contender for Nassir?

It has been a whirlwind of a spring for Nassir Little, one of the top stock boosters this spring. A 6-foot-7 small forward that can play multiple positions and on either end of the floor, Little made a few big time finishes on Thursday morning. However, he was still more than happy to defend guys much bigger than him in the post and also scrap for the loose ball chance.

Tossing in 12 points to go along with seven rebounds and two blocks, things remain wide open with Little on the recruitment front. Two weeks ago, he visited St. John’s as the Red Storm have nudged their way heavily into the mix as a suitable landing spot for him, though others including Georgia Tech, Florida, Miami, UNC, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma State and Louisville remain in the mix.

On the recruiting trail a huge group of schools continue to make Little a priority.

"St. John's, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Florida, Miami, North Carolina, NC State, Kansas, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, and some others," said Little.

About his recent trip to St. John's, Little said, "They play at Madison Square Garden and I got to see that which was nice. We got to see all of the things that most people don’t get to see when they go there so that was pretty cool because there is a lot of history there."

He continued about the Red Storm, "It is a small campus, but it is very nice. The thing I liked the best is there is a place on campus where you can see the 9/11 Memorial. I have a close relationship with the staff. Coach (Chris) Mullin likes my game and he feels like I can come in and play immediately."

Kid is completely blowing up....

It probably doesn't mean anything in the grand scheme of things, as I've said previously when it comes to the 247's "Crystal Ball."  But, when Andrew Slater and Jerry Meyer has something to say, then one should at least lend an ear. 

They both currently has Little going to St. John's.  I'd temper any enthusiasm 'til he actually signs, but still good to see Slater and Meyer "visualizing" things shaping up for us.

so within 24 hours 3 guys on 247 update their crystal ball pick for Little to SJU and Matt with a cryptically optimistic tweet tonight.... One can hope and overanalyze

Exactly. The ultimate results are on the court so I for one don't read into his tweet recruiting victories as results. But I do hope like heck you guys are right and we snag Little.

 Getting someone of this caliber to pop early would be huge if we are lucky enough to land him. Could he be a guy to commit to a school before the season?

It's getting late early around here. Schools already getting commits for 2019.  Would love to get commitments from Little and Luther so they and staff can concentrate on a big or two to round out the class and roster.

Per Andrew Slater, Little will take his first official visit to Georgia Tech in late August.
