He's right and Matt did great work here.  Just wasn't in the cards.  Evan Daniels tweeted out in July that there is an unwritten rule during the live period that coaches privately hope their targets DON'T do well during July.  Makes it easier to recruit them.  That is probably what SJU needed with Little.  This kid blew up like no one else.

He identified a stud before a bunch of other programs, developed a relationship with the studs family and handlers, and had the stud interested in a program that's won 22 games in two years until the very end. Maybe not great, but pretty good.

This kid had basically every offer from all the blue bloods except Kentucky so hard to be surprised he didn't include us. Have to think from the kids point of view. We have been bad the last few seasons and we need to win some games and make the NCAA tournament before we have a shot at kids like this who aren't local.

We have to give him undivided attention in advance of the Fall Signing Period.

This rejection was like a bandaid, quick and painful but easy to get through. Luther is another story, he is a must get for our future.

Sense we can't let him leave campus without a yes.

He never committed anywhere to "reopen" his recruitment.  Unless, you're saying he wants to add more schools to his list.  Duke and UNC are still on his list, unless those two schools have decided to back away from him since his AAU coach is deeply involved in this mess.

He deleted the tweet but he said him and his family decided to "reopen" his recruitment.

There's a chance Little may not ever play a minute of college basketball.

The director of Nassir Little's AAU team is currently in jail, and there's a decent chance Little is among those named in FBI/DOJ complaint.

Two NCAA coaches involved in the recruitment of Nassir Little told me they had backed off this week as it became clear he was Arizona-bound.

Little is believed to be one of the unnamed players in the complaint, perhaps player #12.

With the stuff swirling around him and Arizona and Miami looks like UNC will be the choice.   We'll see if UNC has an issue with him.

wonder if he, quinerly, or bowen  ever play a game this season.
