It's the staff's job to ultimately land kids and to have back up plans but I can tell you with both Kante and Carter this was not the staff being lazy or being unreasonable.  Stuff that they can't control and certain demands that are not reasonable

There is something smelling about our recruiting lately. Maybe rival schools are spreading a rumor that Matt was having an affair with Jessica down in Florida or something.

There is something definitely weird with our recruiting.  There must be something other coaches are pointing out to the recruits that express interest in us, that instantly gets them to drop SJU.  It is amazing.   Got to find out what it is, and fix it.
