These recruits are not so different than what Norm Roberts would routinely land. There needs to be a significantly more intelligent staff in place to develop these kids into quality BE talent. And we still need to get some top local talent. We are not going to complete in the BE with Dixon and Williams in the backcourt and couple of undersized bigs ranked outside of the top 200.

Nova won with kids mostly from the 50-100 range, but they also landed a McDonald’s kid. A big part of why Mullin was brought here is to keep local talent home. We still have to get our share.

I decided to put this right here since we're currently unable to start new topics....

St. John’s: “They have had me down to a couple of games, Precious (Achiuwa) and myself, and they have been texting me constantly. They want me to stay home and keep the best basketball in New York.”

Sure you would have found a way to take a digg if they missed it.

So your answer to making an irresponsible prediction that is clearly not coming true is not to apologize or explain yourself but to insult the coach and the program that you are a supposed fan of, makes perfect sense.

Why knock a kid before he's ever played here and who you never seen?

Some folks connected to the NJ Catholic school programs think this kid will be a good 4 year player.  Said he is a great kid, with a great work ethic, plays incredibly hard, has an excellent motor and think his hoop skills will develop nicely once he focuses on that, given how much time he devoted to football the past few years.  As stated, he was a top 10 recruit in football for his position and had offers from most of the blue-chip programs.  His mother did not want him playing football in college, hence the pursuit of hoops.

Maybe he'll land a couple more 2 star kids
