This looks like our D from last year. We also miss Lovett.

Got caught up because his guy was scoring on him and then starting taking bad shots instead of guarding and playing his game.

This is embarrassing. Corner 3 after corner 3

We need Lovett badly. We have no second option on offense and it shows.

We're loafing around on the defensive end.
Ponds

He's the main culprit, but not the only one.  I'll give Providence some credit, as I've seen 'em a few times this season, and I can't recall the Friars shooting the ball as well, as they are tonight.

But, we're not helping matters, as they are getting open looks.

I noticed that.  This game might be over.  We're playing right into their hands, as we're trying to get everything back in one possession.  Taking quick and bad shots.

Good move by Mullin. Just because he is our best player can't not hustle. Took Ponds out

pickup D, Offense reeks of desperation. Simon invisible.  Amar in for instant offense!

Ponds and Ahmed awful closing out. That is why he put the bench in.

This is where we could've used a Mussini with LoVett being out.  A few may laugh, but he was the one who actually bought in on the defensive end before the remaining players on the team.  I noticed last season he was moving his feet fairly well and digging deep, as best as he can defensively.

He would help Ponds and Simon with the ball handling and he had to be respected from deep on the floor.

I also see we've reverted to playground ball the larger the Friars' lead grew.  We better be careful, as we could be facing an 0-3 start in the Big East.  Hopefully, we're able to steal one on the road versus the Hall and Creighton, but I doubt it.  I think we'll beat DePaul at home, but if LoVett isn't back against the Hoyas, then we could find ourselves in a dogfight.

I'm disappointed with the way the team has looked in the second half, and how they've reverted back to habits we've witnessed the past two seasons.  Well....  A long season is still ahead, and hopefully, they learn from it.

Take a picture of Lunardi's bracketology this week.  Last time we'll be in it this year.

The effort tonight sucked!

W/o Lovett they are going to struggle to score from outside. The lack of hustle on D was embarrassing.
