I'm not sure he knows how to play with Ponds yet as the things he excelled at last night should be easier to do with Ponds on the court rather than on the bench. If he cuts out the preventable turnovers and improves his shot a little he'll be a huge matchup problem. He doesn't even need to make 3s just make that 15-18 footer enough for teams to have to respect it instead of really sagging into the middle of the laneHis stand still jumper is actually alright. At least it goes in at a reasonable clip. It’s his pull up jumpers that are bad. He probably has as many air balls as he does makes in that departments. Yeah it's been decent but teams are still willing to give him that jumper from the elbow. He now has to make it enough for them to have to guard him there which would make it easier for him to get to the basketI missed last night game. But up to this point in the season I can’t remember much of any catch and shoot opportunities from him inside the arc, around the elbow etc. It’s either stand still 3, pull up jumpers , or floaters.

Yeah, it's mostly that slow pull up that he takes from 15 feet when it looks like he wants to drive but his defender is just camped out in the lane so he just takes the shot. Sometimes it looks really smooth where it's nothing but not but other times it's not as pretty. You'll get that with a guy who's stroke is as funky as his is
As weird as it sounds, I think he's got better NBA prospects than Ponds. He should be working on his jump shot all off-season.

The season is practically over and he's shooting 47% from the field and 40% from 3.All our players should shoot this poorly. Who cares what it looks like?

SAid a few months back, next season Simon will be all big east

Should be a higher percentage shot & potential to get fouled.

Marvin ClarkAnyone but Simon is the correct answer. I want Ponds taking it, but of course you have staked your reputation on Ponds not being a good shooter. I'll have fun bringing these threads up in 5 years when Ponds is an NBA sharpshooter and watching you try to wiggle out of it by writing "38% is not a sharpshooter and Ponds wouldnt have made the all-star game if not for injuries."
