Don't think so. Unless Marquette sneaks in the NCAA tournament

If any team below .500 is deserving it’s probably us but I’m fine with them generally not picking teams with losing records. I don’t think we will be selected. Maybe if they just want some big names they’ll have us in.

If the CBI calls, they should take the invite

We are not making the NIT. Big East teams are not permitted to play in the CBI, CIT or any other mickey-mouse postseason tournament, so therefore there will not be an invite to accept or decline. The season is over.

Acc and pac10 teams are allowed but big east isn’t? Is that just a league rule?

Bottom feeders in the Big East are so awesome, they don't need anymore more practice or games.

I believe the BE, ACC, PAC12, B12, B10, and AAC are no longer allowed in this event

Yeah, a few years ago they did but the last 2 years there have been no teams from any of those conferences in that tournament.

Wouldn't be all that surprised if the CBI doesn't survive much longer anyway. UNLV, Wyoming, Oakland and Duquesne have already declined invitations. Probably more that haven't been reported because nobody cares

A lot to reflect on over the past 5 months. Positives, negatives, ups & downs but the foundation has been set and the future couldn’t be brighter. Off season starts immediately. Our guys will put the work in to come back stronger next season. Thanks for all the support #SJUBB

The 9th place team in the BE doesn’t deserve the NIT. That’s for teams that played a full season. They belong in a tournament like the CIT or the CBI. That is absolutely what the staff deserves. Sure, it’s embarrassing, but nothing seems to embarrass them.

Face it.  When St John's had a financial interest in the NIT, it never got in with a losing record.  What makes anyone think the tournament will change its mind now?

Why are you talking about something that won't happen?

Move on.

$$$ would be the only reason. We had really good attendance numbers at MSG this year. Otherwise, with a sub 500 record, no one can expect an invitation.

I’d love for them to pick us to play but I think it’s for sure a longer shot than Jordan Brown
