Xavier predictions thread

Y and Z - 72

I caught some of their game today against Villanova.  Looks like it'll be difficult to not get blown out in Cincy let alone come away with a win.  They come to Alumni Thursday the hottest team in the league and have length and bulk. The type of roster that could give us fits. Too bad we didn't play them earlier in the season. We're catching them at the wrong time. Their homecourt is a snakepit.

If we win this one we not only lock up an Ncaa bid, but one of the pretenders Seton Hall, Georgetown or Butler would need an unlikely win out to keep us from the BE 3rd seed. Hitting the road and/or entering the BE tourn still needing a win would be an unenviable position.  This is our best chance. Let's get er done!

X has won four in a row, they're big and physical. Bad matchup for us but hopefully we have the CA advantage.

think this game will be like the Butler game rock fight type game.....we will open up big lead and then the bigs on xavier will carry them back into the game. Heron comes back and put up big numbers.

This would be best case scenario. We are walking into a buzzsaw playing at X

Once 3 - 8 now 7 - 8.  Beat Providence on the road 75 - 61.  We got blown out by PC twice.

Providence got blown out by Marquette and we beat them twice. It’s abour matchups, can’t comapre apples to oranges. Xavier has size but they don’t shoot well. They are playing much better but if we play our game we should beat them at home.

How do you figure? Clark will have to have a great game to offset each other’s strengths. They have strong, long guards that can beat up shamorie and make him work. Their bigs are bullies and don’t try to do anything but beat people up inside. They seem to enjoy it. I think we’ll sneak out the win at home but I’m not confident with the matchup.

Is there a faster team than us in the BE? They’ve got athletes. We can’t run if we can’t rebound.

They turn the ball over and foul too much. They don’t shoot well or  have strong guard play. Ponds will go off on them. The next time Ponds gets bullied physically will be the first. He can be out-quicked but not out-muscled.

Tyrique Jones is a Marillac favorite, but they don’t scare me as a team if we are on.

Comparison math doesn’t work. We beat Marquette twice and lost to DePaul.
