We can’t compete for recruits with the likes Austin Peay anymore.

Or that shows what kind of players were on this team.

Quit scaring me.  I'm told we are in good shape with the Razorback at the helm.

Is it time to assume that the last scholarship won't be filled by anyone of significance?

School starts next week so would assume they hold onto it at this point and perhaps use it on a mid-season transfer if any become available

Jermaine Marrow, a scoring PG from Hampton, just announced his intent to enter the transfer portal.  His stats are pretty crazy:  24.4 points and 4.9 assists per game last year for an 18-17 team. He dropped 25 on VCU, 26 on Cal, 29 on Bowling Green, and 38 on Richmond--but all came with 4 or more turnovers. He shot 37% from three and 81% from the line.

Keep in mind that Quincy Roberts averaged 24 ppg in his lone year in the same conference that Hampton left last year. They played in the Big South last year which is a step up.

If Rutherford is a defender and unspectacular offensive player, this kid could be a good complement.

EDIT:  I don't think he is a grad transfer. Looks like a sit and play one unless there is a waiver in play or he finished his degree over the summer.

Did you see he’d be eligible?
*wipes ketchup from his eyes* - I guess Heinz sight isn’t 20/20.

Looks like a sit one, play one unless there is a waiver or he just graduated.

6'7 wing DJ Williams transferring from George Washington.  He will be a grad transfer eligible for his final 1/2 season starting middle of December.  He was a top 100 RSCI reruit and played at Illinois originally.  Obviously we could use him, but DePaul might be a big player since he is a local.
