We are scoring from stepback threes and transition. It’s all hero ball and streetball. I don’t expect any of our fans to call it evenly. That’s not how St. John’s fans roll. You have to pick one polar side and stick to it regardless of what evidence presents itself.

The half court offense in the first half is literally as bad as it gets from a coaching standpoint. Thankfully we have LJ.

Its because we lack a floor general.  Someone who can run this team and get guys in the right spot.

I agree that it was all LJ and streetball in that half. We're lucky our athleticism and defense took over towards the end there. Let's see if Anderson calls better sets here.

This will help immensely if we get a true PG.

Caraher is clearly the third scorer until Dunn gets back. It’s not even close.

Agree.  In a game where we were having trouble scoring, why didnt this kid play more.

With williams on offense your playing 4 on 5.

It goes much deeer than that. We are as skilled as anyone 2-5. Caraher and LJ are both capable of running some offense. We aren’t running any sets. It’s bad. It’s early so it can change but it’s ugly.

Judging by the bodies of UNH players they must not have a weight room. Pudgiest team I’ve ever seen.

Huh????  Neither of those guys are point guards.  They have no clue how to run an offense.

Why are 98% of your posts knocking PGs?

If you don’t think LJ can play point forward and run an offense then you should probably pick another sport to come to on. He has the best vision and is the best passer on the team.

I think he's capable of doing that but not at extended minutes or full time. In limited spots against different looks and matchups sure.

One thing Earlington has shown since day 1 is he's good at getting the ball off offensive glass. Dude is always creating extra possessions

the Duke of Earlington lookin great.  Always seems to be in the right place. IQ. I can see him getting 8-10 regularly and a lot of boards.

Cause we are in dire need of a pg.

And to try and argue that figgy is some kind of pg is totally ridiculous.

Are we watching the same Caraher? He's a spot up shooter and not much else. Having him try to run the offense would be pure insanity. He's gonna be a 12-15 mpg guy in real games.

Defense stiffened up and Earlington's playing a nice two way game. Too much dribbling there Cell.

gotta play Rutherford till Dunn is eligible, but he is not the answer.  Williams looking awful, I hope it is the back.

Earlington is clearly raw, but he has big time talent. If CMA can reign him in, that’s our leading scorer next year.

Watching us run the break, our spacing isn’t there.
