A New York City legend, a basketball legend. Someone I was fortunate enough to call a friend, worked along side, learned from, and admired & respected deeply. He was a true treasure to the game of basketball and to so many people.
There wasn't many times I walked into a gym and he wasn't there. He was a fixture on the top bleacher in gyms and always made it a point to say hello with a firm handshake and a personal conversation.
He didn't have a cell phone, an answering machines, or a drivers license but he found ways to get around and keep a personal connection to so many.
"Happiness consists of simplifying your life, not proliferating your wants. The more things you want, the more potential there is to be unhappy." -Tom Konchalski
