History virtually ALWAYS repeats...like when Pitino was coach/president of the Celtics he revoked the rights to nine players so he could sign Travis Knight. The Celts were always shit under Pitino's mismanagement. Or when he got rid of Bernard King, one of the all-time best Knicks because the player wanted to rehab his knee in private. King went on to be an all-star.
Of course, in college, he could set up players with young and tender offerings...plus a few bucks. Now that it's legal (the few bucks thing), he may be able to field a decent team. Brace yourself for a bevy of excuses if we don't make the dance next season...or just eke in. Like, "It's tough when you have a team of all new players". You know the drill.
BTW, Knight sucked with the Celtics...and he brought his suction eventually to the Knicks.
