How many points and boards do you think he averages this year?

BURRELL KNOWS ROLE

St. John’s sophomore big man Justin Burrell admits he didn’t understand his role last season.

That’s changed.

``I know what I need to do now,” Burrell said. “I’m excited about the season. People are writing us off, but people don’t understand we were freshmen.”

Burrell, a native New Yorker, said the toughest part of last season was not having an upperclassman to go to for advice.

``I had no senior leadership at my position,” he said. “I had nobody to go to and that’s a big difference in college basketball.”

tough to say bc i dont think many of us have seen him play, but i think the next level for him would be if he could average 15ppg and 8rgp and be consistent with it

Here is my prediction 13 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 1.0 apg, 2 turnovers in about 30-32 mins per game. He gets more efficient shooting around 45% FG and 75% FT.

I'm hoping for more shooting efficiency than that.  He has the ability, especially if the team runs.  And I'd love to see him get to the line more.  He's an very good free-throw shooter for a big.

Your right... I am going to up my shooting percentage predictions to 48-50% FG and 78-80% FT.

I think 48% and 75% would be really good for Burrell. Obviously if he pushed over 50% it would be great.

13.6 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 2.4 bpg.

And then watch out in 2009-10: Preseason and postseason honors in Big East, and some national recognition.

If Malik is running the show I think 14 and 9 is definitely reachable

If Norm is running the offense than I think his ppg will be around the same as last year but he can get more rebounds because we miss so many shots
