So far, Seton Hall is holding their own. We've been okay at best, but certainly better than the rest of the teams listed.
Hofstra beats up on bad teams. Like we have. I think in a few weeks, we'll see that Rutgers is improved, and Hofstra has
some serious issues with depth and size.

Manhattan is only ranked ahead of St.Francis because they've played an easier schedule.
Clearly head to head, there isn't much difference.

Iona could breakout. They've lost some tough close ones.

Thanks Marco and Steve502. Any way to freeze these standings?
p.s. Columbia had a guy sitting next to us at the two Pre-Nit games at CA and he personally kept a thorough scorecard for both games.

iona #128?

Yeah- doesn't seem right.
Their 4 wins are against sub 220 RPI teams.
Their 5 losses include # 51,117,121, 221 & 224.

Pom Computer puts too much into losses to good teams.
Throw out those 3 "good losses" & they are 4-2 vs 220+ RPI teams

Deserves a 180-200 RPI to me !

I like the Pomerantz ratings because u can click to other teams played from a teams schedule.
But the Sagarin computer ratings seem more accurate (both have STJ in the 90's)

Seems like the Sagarin/USA Today which has Iona @ 177 makes more sense

How about Louisville & their big RPI ?
Throw out their 4 wins against sub 150 RPI teams &
They become 2-1 vs teams w RPI's of 100-150

Pom has them @ # 4, Sagarin has them @ 31 (more realistic)

I don't think they are. At least right now, they're not better than Hofstra.
In time, when and if their freshman improve, they could be a better team.

But as we've seen in the past, impressive high school rankings don't always turn into wins on the court. Rutgers has far more top 100 recruits than we do, and we're a better team than them probably because of that extra year.

Agree with a lot of your points.  I was going to post that Kem Pom has two separate rankings, his own and a replication of what he thinks the actual RPI is but upon visiting today I see he's declared the RPI dead and will only be doing his own rankings.  Guess I'll have to find another RPI tracker.  Is collegerpi.com the best or does anyone else have any other suggestions.

Pom is set up nice so you can click to other teams on Schedule.

But USA / Sagarin has nice columns set up for record vs 1-25 and 25-50,

Thanks for the feedback, wasn't familiar with teamrankings.com, but I'm specifically looking for an RPI site.  While all the other computer rankings are nice this isn't the BCS and so the only computer ranking that matters on selection Sunday is the RPI.

STJ is currently #133 (14th in the Big East).
Pitt has the highest RPI in the BE.
UConn, Louisville, and UNC are weakened by the strength of schedule.
Hofstra is #30.
