Earlier today i was talking with mike on facebook he told me he was considering st. johns.  He also told me that if lavin honors grace's commitment grace will try to bring maurice harkless with him.  Harkless suposobly wants to transfer out of Uconn.

Since Harkless has only verballed to UConn, he can do anything he wants.

no he wasnt at the camp and if uconn gets put on any probation i heard maurice will decommit

Taylor would like to go to a school that offers his desired major (he wants to be a pediatrician), has immediate playing time available, although that’s not a must, and has a coaching staff he gets along with.

He listed Rutgers, South Carolina, South Florida, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, and Virginia as all possibilities. He has only visited Rutgers and St. John’s, but has no favorites. Once Steve Lavin took over, he placed a call about Taylor, but Boys & Girls coach Elmer Anderson said he hasn’t heard from the Red Storm recently.

July was a quiet month for Boys & Girls standout Mike Taylor. While other elite prospects were crisscrossing the country playing in front of college coaches in exotic locales, he was back home taking summer classes and working out with his teammates.

“It makes no difference because I’m pretty satisfied with the schools I got,” said Taylor, who led Team Lucky Runnin’ Rebels to the 17U Gold bracket final on Saturday. “Playing against the best of the best is good, but working on your game is better to me.”

Taylor plans to trim his college list, which includes scholarships offers from Rutgers, South Carolina, South Florida, Seton Hall, St. John’s, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Virginia Tech, Maryland, and Virginia, to five by the end of the summer.

Interesting.  Would have thought St. John's would have been in there.  I'll bet on Rutgers.

I really hope we don't shoot for the sky without any backup plans.

Four of the six schools chosen by Taylor happen to be BIG EAST schools and Taylor is well aware of that. "I like the BIG EAST," said Taylor who sited St. John's and Rutgers specifically. "[St. John's head coach Steve] Lavin is cool. He's a west coast coach and people say he's a great coach. People were saying that he was only going after players on the West Coast and forgot about us New Yorkers but he's been on me so�"

Boys & Girls senior shooting guard Mike Taylor is focusing on six schools, according to assistant coach Elmer Anderson.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound Taylor is looking at St. John’s, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, South Florida and South Carolina.

“Those six schools are the ones that have been consistent with him,” Anderson said Monday.

Maryland and Virginia Tech have also been linked to Taylor, but those schools have not been as consistently involved.

“He’s got the same schools that were pretty much involved with him before,” Anderson said.

I read on redmen that Mike Taylor was most interested in us on and Rutgers so does the Mack commitment help us in that regard. How good is Taylor anyway?
