Wow chronicbucks, all these 3,4 stars at Baylor and theyre not going to the NCAA? or the NIT? What gives, Norm has zero star players and he isnt making the NIT or NCAA too?

Step into my office junior, cause you just got fired.  Maybe someday Baldi will teach you about OWNAGE

The truth is this,
Baylor is better then us right now and they were better then us last year.
They have not fully rebuilt their program, but they are going a lot faster then we our.
Even if they don't make the NCAA or the NIT they still did a good job for being Baylor who have no history or legacy.
Even if the Big 12 is as good as the Big East it still some good teams like Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri.
Eventually we will be better then them but not right now

And the thing with Baylor is that they had these recruits committed  YEARS in advance right after Drew was hired. It was very discouraging when compared to Norm's recruiting.

Baylor has three trips to the tournament all time.  We have like 30!

Lacadarius Dunn was a top 25 player and committed two years before he stepped on the court. If we had a top 25 player at the end of the tunnel, the future would have seemed so much brighter.

Is Lance top 25?  How is Dunn doing this year? Is Dunn leading them to the NCAA's?

Marco, I've got to counter you here.  I agree that the Baylor reclamation job shouldn't give folks a chubby - and I would add that Scott Drew should consider leaving for a better paid job while the getting's good (his team has some serious flaws, they shouldn't have made the NCAAs last year, and the fans are going to turn on him next year or the year after that unless they play some kind of defense).

But they have winning records in the past two years, a talent base to build on, and they compete in a tough conference in a tough recruiting state.  I am sure there is a little ca$h flowing to the players there, but they have certainly done a better job there.
He ought to stay one step in front of the cavalry.
If John Wall winds up in scenic Waco, Drew isn't leaving and the NCAA may be arriving.

Great article on Wall's handlers and
who they do & don't want getting near him

I picked them as my surprise team in the begining of this year and they are not doin as well as I thought they would be at this point. Rome wasn't built in a day. There progam has alot of upside.

From some of the posts in this thread, I beg to differ. It seems Rome was built in a day. BAYLOR IS back! ::)

This was a terrible job Bluto! Your whole argument was very confusing! Baylor had one of it's own players kill a teammate, while their coach tried to cover it up! After this was all exposed, numerous other infractions were discovered which were so bad that the NCAA let the remaining players transfer w/o having to sit out a year. Baylor than makes an NCAA tourney 5 years later and wins at least 16 games the next year!
Meanwhile Norm can't even make his own conference tourney w/o a rule put in to ensure he does. Now 5 years later though no one killed anyone or died he still uses the excuse of what he inherited as well as claiming they lost by 30 to a mediocre SU team becuase the players were tired from barely beating a borderline NIT team at home two days previous!

My bad, you guys are right. Baylor is filled with a bunch of 4, 5 star kids and probably on their way to the Final 4. You guys stated, "Baylor is back"than say Baylor has had 3 tourny appearances in 30 so years.

Where exactly is Baylor back to?

This argument is absurd!
Baylor despite not having a third of the tradition of SJU  made an NCAA tourney 5 years after probably the worst scandal in NCAA history. SJU could only make it's own conference tourney once in the last 4 years despite facing a much less serious scandal!

#1) your post leads us to believe that you mean that making the final four is the only way a program can be brought back...i dont think anyone else on this planet believes that except you

#2) idk the stats but if it is 3 appearances in 30 years, with the last appearance coming last year wouldnt that be proof FOR them being back?

im sorry to be mean but i hate posters like you, or anyone who argues like you do...the people that get proven wrong again and again in a conversation yet cant admit they were wrong...your prob the type that once you do realize your wrong, instead of admitting it, you yell then leave a room...sometimes you lose marco, and after a few days of this thread being up, you havent made one intelligent point...if the argument that baylor isnt back can be made, its become apparent it wont be by you
