best game i've ever seen

I can't say that because the season is not at stake as it was for some of my other faves like Providence-Arizona in '97, but it was awesome and definately up there.

I was about to take a shower, but I knew that it was going to be special and waited it out.  Glad I did.

That was a hell of a game.
Congrats to the Niagara boys.
Always good to see UConn and Thabeet lose.

What a classic.  Think of the names involved in this:

Devendorf, Adrien, and AJ Price-Seems like they've been here for 10 years

Calhoun and Boeheim - Doesn't get any better as coaches

Flynn - Already a 1,000 pt scorer and will be a legend

Rautins - Big East legacy

Thabeet - Top five shot blocker in the history of conference

Walker - Will probably be a pro 15 years from now and just finishing up, maybe with Thabeet and Flynn

Does Big East ball get any better than this?

don't forget paul harris.  missed a ton of layups throughout the game but got the pivotal putback dunk/and 1.

In the postgame press conference, Calhoun brought along Price and Robinson "because they were the only ones who wanted to shoot." He said he wasn't tired at all and would hold a practice right now if he could to go over missed free throws.

Calhoun blamed the loss on missed free throws and 27 turnovers. He said he thought this team was finally ready "to close out teams" after three years of not having teams that closed out.

He was a typical bully to a woman asking an innocuous question and went after a guy asking a simple question about how great a game this was.

He finally added that he didn't like the double-bye format and said they're going to only have played one game in twelve days thanks to this format.

What will be more impressive then this win, will be if they can win tonight. WVU will roll over them I think.

Had to work so I did not see 1 second of this game but I just caught some highlights-it looked like 1 for the ages.  Its good to see Calhoun get the loss, hes a bi tch. How'd my boy Devendorf play?

Incredible game.  I turned it on with about 2 minutes left in regulation.

Too bad it fizzled a bit in the last OT.  Uconn couldn't hit any shots.

Devendorf played awesome.  The kid can really ball.  It's a shame that he is such a punk, because he has an NBA game.

He is equally adept at getting to the basket or shooting deep or midrange jumpers, and he is very athletic.

WVU won't roll over Syracuse on the road. Every game at MSG is a home game for the Orange.

So how is Norm Roberts' "we were tired" excuse looking now?

Syracuse knocked off UConn after playing the previous day, and West Virginia knocked off Pitt after playing the previous day.

I'll get to the "We were tired" excuse in a few....  A heckuva game on last night!  I know it was a 6 OT game and that might also add to the luster of it.  Nevertheless, I haven't seen many like it, but I've seen better.

I missed the last couple of minutes of the 6th and final overtime, as I was fell asleep.  Those two teams were out there like two staggerin' boxers throwing body blows, in hope of landing that one final haymaker to win it.  You'll hear about this one during the Big East Tourney week forever!  Especially, when those two teams matchup with one another.  Too, bad one of 'em had to lose on last night (or, shall I say, early this AM).

Now....  "We were tired...."  HA!  A load of crap by someone who seems to not wanna take responsibility for the lackluster play of his team.  Not to mention, it's a move to help keep your job safe because the administration is on par with The Three Stooges.  It is also a play on our intelligence, as fans of St. John's.  Keep spinnin'!

Except his release is .1 seconds too slow! ;)

Did anyone else think the scoreboard lit up when the clock was still showing .1 on it?  They got the call right because it was at 0 and it was still on the tip of his finger...it doesn't get any closer than that.

Amazing shot because he almost double clutched on it.
