Omari.  Seems like a hard nosed scorer with the winning attitude we need on this team.

I agree with Walkon for the same reasons...Hardy and Brownlee....if both come as advertised the offense should be alot better (can't get worse can it?). We also have a backup PG.

Me too. At South Kent Omari played well but he didn't look like the firecracker we saw at St. Raymond's. He gained weight as a result of that shoulder injury and hadn't lost it yet in the games I saw at SK. I think that's the reason why he's not as explosive as he was once was. I hope our trainer gets a hold of him to take off the fat and put on some muscle. He could be one hell of a ballplayer for us.

NORM ROBERTS SPEAKS ON NEWCOMERS

by ZACH SMART

NBE caught up with St. John’s head coach Norm Roberts while at the BasketbBull Hall of Fame Invitational on Saturday in Springfield (MA), picking the brain of the Red Storm coach, who spoke primarily on his infusion of talent for 2009-2010

Roberts on Omari Lawrence: I think Omari is going to be a great in transition, as well as a great defender. He really handles the ball well and he can really pass it and create. He can create shots for himself as well as others. I think he has the opportunity to make an immediate impact. I think we’re going to have the personnel where we’re going to be better, so we’re not going to look at any freshman to be saviors, not on this team.

Malik Stith; I think Malik’s going to help us a lot with our ball handling, creativity. He’s going to help us in our two-guard set.

Dwight Hardy: Perimeter shooting, he’s going to help us. He’s going to be able to help us in an assortment of ways scoring the ball. He’s a really good 3-point shooter, he’s also a great mid-range shooter.

Justin Brownlee: Versatile forward, he can play inside and outside. He can play between the 1-4. He’s 6-7 and had a great JUCO career. We’re excited about what he can bring to the table

Saw O this weekend sporting a brand new 8 pack.  I like the high flying act , So Ima have to go with O money.  Really I can't wait to see both BX boyz on the wingz.
The phrase perfect storm refers to the a simultaneous occurrence of events which, taken individually, would be far less powerful than the result of their chance combination. Such occurrences are, by their very nature, rare, and so even a slight change in any one event contributing to a ‘perfect storm’ would be sufficient to lessen the overall power of the final event.
