It saddens me to announce this news but it has come to my knowledge that "backinny" has passed away from pulmonary edema this weekend. He was a great fan and there was no denying his passion. He moved around to a couple of medical facilities and he always managed to find a computer and write some long messages of what has been on his mind since his last log in. He was always trying to be innovating by creating many discussion opportunities for everyone anytime it seemed we had nothing to talk about. He will truly be missed. May he rest in peace and be with God. Also my prayers and condolences go out to his family.

I didn't know him, and I always thought saying "he's in a better place" never did much to console anyone, but it this case it seems appropriate. I got the impression from his posts that he's had a rough stretch of years there, so I'm glad he's finally pain-free.

Too bad he couldn't see one last game, especially if we have a chance to be exciting this year.
