Scrimmaging Virginia?

Bennett will find out a lot more about his Cavaliers this Sunday when they will scrimmage Marquette twice at John Paul Jones Arena (the scrimmages are closed to the public and to media). He has also scheduled a scrimmage with St. John’s, so those tests will give him a clearer idea of what challenges lie ahead.

Very cool. Better than scrimmaging Drexel and Iona. 

Or is it? Virginia, like St. John's, is at the butt end of their league... but they have talent.

Virginia is not a better test than Drexel if you're going by basketball.

If you're talking academia, I would agree.

You might be right. And moreover, they're playing a different style; they will be worse at the beginning of the season than at the end.

Syracuse just lost to D2 LeMoyne

yeah where are all those cuse lovers now??

LeMoyne did everything they could to lose that game too but Syracuse just isn't that good.  Wesley Johnson has skills but the rest of that team is very weak without Flynn dominating the game.

Louisville did not look good against Georgetown College (NAIA).  But its  just a scrimmage.

I believe we are traveling to Virginia this weekend for the scrimmage.

Still a great accomplishment for those kids. Good for them.
Maybe we can get them in the Dome this year if we can find someone who can man up with Onuaku.
