Good news regarding Miami TV feed
« on: November 29, 2007, 07:33:52 AM »
There had been some debate as to whether this game was televised on FSN or FSN Atlantic (a pay station here on Long Island anyway, channel 406).

I just looked up the TV Guide listings (Cablevision - Great Neck at tvguide.com) and it appears as though it's on MSG!  Great news, I was fearful that I'd miss out on their first true test of the season.

As far as I'm concerned, now is when we can really start critiquing this team (or at least those who are healthy  :-\)

No problem.  I'm surprised there hasn't been more of a discussion about this.  ACC v. Big East, first big game for the Johnnies....and there was a big possibility of no TV broadcast!  (Nobody has Fox Atlantic)

Hope TV Guide is right.

MSGnetwork.com has the game listed on MSG at 4pm....so if you got MSG, regardless of what cable provider you have...you should see the game.

yea but we all know that if sju lays an egg in this game the injuries excuse will be used as a crutch once again.

I don't think anyone is making excuses. We went through these 4 games with injuries and players missing. Sure it hurts but in Norm's words "thats college basketball" I feel no need to point the finger at short comings when we are 4-0 not to mention wasn't the goal all along to be 5-1 going into Hawaii? We've put ourselves into a position to do that. I think Mason will be fine and if he's not we'll be fine. We are better with him no doubt about it but we'll manage without him.

lol if you say so...ok, injuries aren't an excuse.

But I had this one marked as a loss because it's the 1st road game for 7 of our players.

Hopin' we win, but if we don't I don't think it means a damn thing beyond one road loss.

btw - Just who has used injuries as a "crutch" here?... The bottom line is not having one of our BEST & most EXPERIENCED players(on a team w/ seven freshmen) is going to CATCH UP with us eventually. That is not makin' an excuse... just stating a FACT. Hopefully it won't be this weekend. One thing is for sure. This is a step up in competition & we should know ALOT more about this team after this game. Let's hope the RED jerseys brings out the KILLER instinct in JB as well. I think as long as he stays out of foul trouble he is going to have a big game. Should be interesting.

I see a double-digit loss here and will not be upset as long as Norm shows he can X and O a little better.  First road game for 7 freshmen will show how well they do under pressure, especially DJK and JB ;)
