Burrell Injury Update.

As per School release

On the injury front, big man Justin Burrell, who scored a bucket and went down with an ankle injury in the first minute of play against Duke, was examined Monday by team physician Answorth Allen, M.D., team physician of the Red Storm and the NBA’s New York Knicks. Burrell’s x-rays were negative and his injury is categorized as a high right ankle sprain. He is expected to miss at least three weeks of play, though he will be re-examined in two weeks’ time.

Damn, we probably wont be needing him until New Year's Eve but this hurts.  Hopefully Mase and Rob can get back soon to fill the void.

We'll need Thomas to contribute in the Holiday Festival.
Hopefully, he and Mason are back for it.

Assuming we get by hofstra in the first round...is cornell or davidson our likely opponent. Havent heard anything from Davidson w/o curry, and i hear cornell is decent. Would either present any difficult matchups?

I was at the Cornell game. Don't remember much. But we won easily. The score may not have reflected it but the game was not in doubt.
You never want to see a player get hurt, but this might help the team. Lets get Coker some more minutes. Hopefully R. Thomas comes back. If Mason comes back maybe let DJ play the 4. Unlike other years we have depth. 3 key players out and 1 good player not playing (Quincy) and we are ok.

I agree with everything Tony said. I fuess we'll get to see what we have in COker in the next couple of games. Plus, it might give Norm a chance to experiment with the smaller lineup

Norm has always started with a tradition lineup. Tomas would get many starts but not a lot of finishes. I think we'll run small without Burrell if we can.

Get well JB.   Looked like a severe sprain to me.  Easily a couple of weeks.  Hopefully he's healthy for Gtown and our Big East opener.

Cornell is the favorite to win the Ivy League, so I would think they'd be the favorite to beat Davidson.

As for JB, I don't mind seeing Dele starting because he earned it after last game, but if we're (and I think we are) a transition team then I hope we see Brownlee for at least 18-20 minutes.

I would be shocked if he did not play against GTown.
