The injury list giveth and the injury list taketh away.

One day after learning power forward Justin Burrell would be lost for about three weeks for a high ankle sprain, St. John's coach Norm Roberts announced that forward Rob Thomas of Harlem Bronx will get his first action of the season tonight when the Red Storm faces Georgia in the Garden in the Big East-SEC Challenge.

Roberts acknowledged he preferred to sit Thomas one more game, but the injury to Burrell has forced his hand. Roberts said there is no additional risk of Thomas re-injuring his groin, but Roberts said Thomas couldn't expect to get more than 15 minutes of playing time.

"Coach told me I got to get ready to go," said Thomas.

Hope Quincy is okay. At least they're being careful with him.

Sounds like they are setting up a redshirt.  NCAA could never argue a concussion suffered within the first six games.

I agree, althought hte Post has no clue what they are talking about. Yesterdays paper said the Johnnies said it adds Burrel to the list of injuries that includes Mason Jr and Rob Kennedy. But "freshman" Justin Brownlee should see increased playing time
