All in All they were expected to win and they did.  They can no longer have games on "paper" they should win and do not. (Providence)  Norm is not going to out coach anyone in this league, so unfortunately, experience along w/ talent is going to have to win games against better teams.   Still need better pg play and more of burrell.  FT shooting is a concern, but Hardy and booth can hit free throws in pressure situations which is nice.  However, as a team that focuses on winning w/ their shooters this team should not shoot 40 or 50% from the line EVER.   Hoping they take 2 of next three but that is going to be difficult.  Regardless, however they get to 9 wins in league.  I do not care who they beat or lose to.

DePaul stinks, and so does UCONN.  Let's beat them Wednesday.

with Uconn, Nova, and Pitt coming up it is vital to win at least one of the 3.  Big difference b/t 3-5 and 2-6.

Good stuff from JB and Mase today.

A win, as it should have been. Mase looked much more comfortable today, like he finally has his game back. Burrell too, haven't seen the boxscore as I just got home, but he looked like he contributed nicely.

It's a shame a big time program like us doesn't have a spare control unit for the scoreboard. It's miserable not seeing any player stats. It's bad enough most games when the old man at the control falls asleep for minutes at a time.

And how bad did you want the walk on Taubneck's trey to drop for him!

We are not a big-time program anymore.

Good to see Mase out getting some rebounds! We're going to need him against UConn. F Calhoun and Kemba, lets go up there and kick their ass too

I'd rather go to the Nassau Coliseum than CA. And that place is a total dump.  At least there i can get drunk while watching crappy sports.

I went to Monmouth's new MAAC center yesterday and that was really nice. I like CA post renovations its really stepped up in my opinion.

The team played well today.  Good interior passing, excellent on defense and on the boards.  We made the runs instead of being on the receiving end and we didn't let up when we had them down except for a few brief moments.

At one point in the second half, DJ missed a layup, DePaul came down and hit a three.  We missed on our next possession and they came down and scored again.  Norm called a timeout and got the team focused again.  We then expanded on the lead.

Mase played a terrific game.  10 boards was fantastic.  Burrell started off slowly but he stayed focused and continued to work.  He ended up the leading scorer.  Paris had a strong drive to the basket to open up the scoring and he hit a few big jumpers.  Brownlee was active---as always.

I'm not sure if our defense was so good or if DePaul is just that bad.  It was a game that we should have won big, and we did.  Let's see how they follow up against Uconn.

Played good ball today.  I would like to see less use of the "deep" bench and use pt to allow 8 players to develop and gel.  Great to have Mason back.  He's progressing well.  Burrell was explosive today. The team is now a scoring threat from every position except for point.  Hardy is the solution to that problem.

New starting 5:  Burrell, Brownlee, Mason, DJ, Hardy/Booth

Less minutes for Evans and Stith.  Much less for Omari.

"burrell started off slowly"......er ya......he only played 3 minutes in the first half.

Mase had a good job, Nice to see the 10 boards and 8 points. They needed the win, everyone thought they were going to win, and they won. It was a total team effort...no one was the primary scorer...good team effort. 20-4 run to open the 2nd half was nice

Man, Depaul is horrible. I have no idea how they hung with anyone in the BE for a half, let alone, anyone in the nation.

I think Fordham vs Depaul would be a fair game. Two garbage teams.

Depaul won't win a BE game w out a miracle.

In another thread yesterday, I put Burrell to the task for not being aggressive.

Today might have been his best game this season. He was around and
under the basket and played with more fire. Nice games by JB1 & Mase.
Also DJ with 5 assists.

And I agree with above, Omari might be the future, but not yet

Agreed.  I love it when they play at the Coliseum. They should do it again.  It was great when they had March madness there as well.
