I think we need to attack the basket fearlessly. Sure UConn has good big men but they aren't unstoppable. I'm always a fan of working inside out rather than outside in.

Rebounding is going to be the biggest measuring stick I feel. Can we limit them to one shot per possession? Can we force bad shots and get rebounds to run?

Anyone know what's wrong with Calhoun?

He realized his team isn't good enough to be ranked (and possibly NCAA tourny worthy) and wanted an excuse not to be responsible for it.

To beat them we need to take care of the ball, and get it off the glass like we have not been doing. We rebounded well against Depaul, but we just can't use that as a way measure anything other than a practice.

They play aggressive man to man defense, and we often choose not to. With Paris Horne, Malik Boothe, Anthony Mason and all of our athletes we need to create mistakes with pressure.

The biggest disappointment this year is the lack of full court pressure.
Why on earth do we give opponents such an easy time getting it over, when they make us sweat it out?

We have the depth now.

What should St. John's do defensively to slow down UConn? Zone? Press? Trap? Man to Man?

If man who do you pair up defensively?

Let them shoot from the outside, keep Robinson off the boards

What is the over / under on the time of game when the announcer says our offense is stagnate?
I predict the 10 minute mark of the 1st half.

Horne has to do a great job on Dyson.
Boothe has to stay in front of Walker, and prevent him from shooting and passing over him. Follow the guy around all over the court.

Kennedy has to stay with Robinson.

The big men have to play like men inside.
Get position, pull down rebounds, and attack the rim on offense.
No stupid drives by Evans, and no silly turnovers, fouls,
shots. We have experience here. More than them.
