Notre Dame's Luke Harangody bruised a bone in his right knee and will miss Sunday's home game against St. John's.
Notre Dame forward Luke Harangody will not play in Sunday’s game against St. John’s because of a bone bruise on his right knee, according to men’s basketball spokeswoman Bernadette Cafarelli.

Harangody could also miss Wednesday’s game at Louisville. He will likely be replaced by guard Jonathan Peoples, who started the first eight games of the season, according to Cafarelli.

An MRI performed Friday showed no ligament or cartilage damage.

Harangody injured his knee coming down from an attempted rebound in Thursday’s 90-87 loss at Seton Hall.

The 6-foot-8 senior appeared to walk without much of a limp but practiced walking with crutches as practice began Friday, according to The Associated Press. Harangody did not speak with reporters.

Harangody is third in the nation in scoring, averaging 24.1 points per game.

I hope he's not seriously injured but I'm ecstatic if he's out for 1 game.

That could only happen if they go to him all game with the ball.......just like ND does with GOADY. Anybody can see that actually happening? This team is too selfish for that.

Xhoops- In the game chat you said this team is selfish also. Why and who particular do you think is selfish? I would say that Brownlee and Horne take to many 3's. But I don't think anyone is selfish.

You need to watch the game much more closely, a DVR helps too. If you do that you will see a lot of selfish play. Horne is the worst by far..not just three's........driving and not laying the ball off to open teammates etc......Just watch the possessions with a discerning eye and you will see the ball doesn't get given up as it should. DJ has the most assists, but even he gets caught up in his own game too much. He has thrown some very assists. It sure is a pretty game when players willing give up the ball as a team.

I agree with you, XHoops, that we don't JB enough looks, but I don't think that is due to selfishness.  I think it is bad coaching.  These kids have so much going through their minds and you know they can't be as well prepared as the opposing team 8/10 games.  It is the coach's job to notice and adjust.  A good coach can get a player like DJ or JB1 involved early by scripting a play to them.

I don't disagree with you I just think selfish is the wrong word. I think Paris and Brownlee at times definitely force shots. When players are compting for minutes it is only natural for them to try to force action. I also agree with Marillac that we could do more things to get JB the ball. The coaches have to address this. Our better players need to get more opportunities. Paris has to play under control and Brownlee should be forbidden for shooting 3's.

You made some very good points. The coaches for sure should address it and correct it but obviously they don't. To see what I am referrring to......the next few games don't just ball watch.......watch JUSTIN post up, or when he is in great position or open.......and they don't throw the entry pass. Every body misses players once in a while , but if it happens more......what do you call it.?
