St. John's finally looks alive after win
By Dick Weiss

What a great character win for the Johnnies. St. John's, which looked comatose during a Wednesday loss to the Hall at Carnesecca, just defeated South Florida, 74-58. The Red Storm (15-11, 5-9) got 17 from D.J. Kennedy, 12 in the second half. They closed out the first half with 10 straight points to take a 35-24 lead, then tacked on six more at the start of the second half to stun USF (16-10, 6), which had dreams of an NCAA at large bid burst into flames.

Elsewhere, URI leads Fordham 22-4 on the road. A loss would make the Rams 2-22 and 0-13 in the Atlantic 10. Help can't get here soon enough.

Oh come on.  They didn't look alive after the Louisville win?  The issue isn't looking alive, it's crazy inconsistency...

Hmmmm, but a year or 2 ago Hoops Weiss wrote a blog post questioning Norm's abilities.

At least Fordham's leadership has come out and made commitment to its basketball program moving forward. They understand the value it can add to the University.

Fordham has made an effort before.

They hired the million dollar coach, and he turned out ot be a huge agrument against spending money on a name.

I think the Atlantic 10 had something to do with that
