SJU candidate hewitt suggests no cells

Great article and great idea re: potential st johns coaching candidate Paul Hewitt's suggestion to his team to give up cell phones for the acc tourney.  The players voted to do it, and said it helped their communication immensely.  They decided to do the same for the ncaa.  I think this is a great idea.

I like this idea a lot.  There are too many distractions for guys before the game.  Sean Evans was posting a status on facebook 15 min before the game.  How can he be concentrating on the game with a cell phone in his hand.

Great idea. Distractions adversely affect your focus and/or awareness. Cell phones anywhere, computers in the classroom, ipods when jogging in the city or on the beach. Being wired makes it difficult to keep your head where your feet are.

Ya that is a great idea, no need to have any sort of distractions this weekend.
