Should've kept Norm
« on: March 25, 2010, 03:31:57 PM »
This is a circus. Should have brought Norm back, get to the NCAA with his seniors and take it from there. WHo knows what coudlve happenned? If it didnt work out, bring in Willard with another year under his belt and some tourny experience. This is a disgrace and IM not trying to stir the pot as some will say.

Too late to bring him back, but Im dead serious. They should not have fired him without some big name waiting in the wings. Monasch should get his ass canned now too

Willard will be at SHU.   :)

No, they should not have kept Norm. Let it play out dramaqueen.  It been less than a week since he was fired.

What would have been disgraceful is winning 5 games with a team that has maybe 6 scholarship players on it (if even that) after he under performs again and then gets fired.

It sounds like Hewitt turned down the offer due to his family.  Can't fault the man for that.  Shit happens.  Not Monasch's fault.

Desperation will set in and a mistake will be made imo. Well, a mistake was already made

If we get Greenberg who is the best candidate or McCaffrey/Donahue then I think we have upgraded a lot but if we settle for a no name coach then we may have only upgraded very little and in that case would it have been worth it? Norm had to go but if we end with a no name guy we will be not much better off.

if we dont have a coach by a week after the tournament ends then it will be desperation time...we got time to wait and make a decision...let ronald roberts walk if he cares so much, he might be a great raw talent, but i truly dont care about whether he stays or goes...we are looking towards a future where ronald roberts are the floor on the talent we get...in the meantime the assistant coaches will keep the kids ready and moving forward with their workouts

Hewitt turned it down because its a no win situation. Who wants to come to a place where they have to follow the rules and not "bend" the rules? Whatever the hell that means. This isnt an easy place to recruit going up against the Hall of Famers in the Big East

Certainly looks like it. I wonder what Ron Robers must be thinking right about now

If it hasnt become obvious that you cant believe everything you read, you got problems.  What did you think he was going to say?

Greenberg, Donahue and McCaffrey are all good options.
As is Jim Baron IMOP.

All would have a much bigger stage than they do now.

You are too much.  Find me a quote that says otherwise. That he stayed at GT for something other than "family matters".  You can't believe all those voices in your head either.  You can't make stuff up that refutes what is being reported, and then say "you can't believe everything you read" to defend your opinion.  It makes you look silly.
