Greenberg or Skinner?

 Reports are they are interviewing both.  Tough call. Greenberg is younger, more personality. Skinner is a better game coach but may not be able to recruit like Seth.

 I give the slight edge to Skinner if it indeed comes down to these two.  Thoughts?

Id take Greenberg but its close. I think Greenberg can coach and recruit pretty well and Skinner is a good in game coach but is an average recruiter. Greenberg as you said has some personality and I think he could get better players here and ultimately have more success.

  Butler is a better job and program than St.John's.  this is unfortunately the case.

A week ago I would have been happy with McCaffery or some other mid major dope. But Monasch has changed my expectations. If he's going after Hewitt and Donovan and Pitino, then he should go after Tubby Smith and Ben Howland and Bobby Knight. And after that Sendek and Kruger and Frank Martin and Steve Lavin and whoever else.  A week ago I would have said that's crazy, they'll never spend the money, but they seem ready to. Greenberg and Skinner are a notch below that. If Pitino's a home run these two are singles, and you hope they steal second. Between them I have no particular preference.

more like hoping they steal all the way home.  i dont care if sju asks 10 candidates, at the end if all that is left is skinner or greenberg, i could live with that. too much emphasis on nyc ties...we only have one shot to get this right. dont need to defer to these guys just yet.
